Parking is available right outside Tromsøbadet, whether you arrive by car, skis, or bicycle.
Parking by car:

Transport and Parking at Tromsøbadet
By car:

By bus:
- Routes: Bus 20 and 24 stop at Dramsvegen (Templarheimen).
- Walking distance: Approximately 5–10 minutes from the bus stop to Tromsøbadet.
By bicycle:
- Bicycle parking: 84 spaces in the bicycle shed outside the entrance.
- Remember to bring your own lock. Bicycle trailers must be parked outside the shed.
By skis (winter):
- Ski parking: Lockable ski racks with space for 108 pairs of skis.
- Ski locks can be purchased at the pool shop.
Wi-Fi Information
- The password for the guest network is "Badeglede."
Locker Solutions at Tromsøbadet
General Information:
- Your wristband is used to lock/unlock lockers and pay at the café.
- No need for a padlock or coins.
How to lock lockers:
- Find an available locker and place your belongings inside.
- Close the door. The terminal beeps and counts down on the display.
- Hold your wristband to the reader. The locker number will appear on the display to confirm it's locked.
- Check that the locker is locked before leaving.
How to unlock lockers:
- Hold your wristband to the reader, and the door will automatically open.
Using wristbands for payments:
- Adults (18+): Can use up to NOK 1500 credit on the wristband for café purchases. Payment is settled upon exit.
- Children (under 18): No credit by default but can have an amount added by contacting service staff at the reception.
Changing Rooms at Tromsøbadet
Types of Changing Rooms:
- Main changing room: Largest, separated into male and female sections.
- Health changing room: Unisex changing room for people with disabilities or special needs.
- Instructor changing room: Primarily for instructors but can be used by others when needed.
Main Changing Rooms:
- Location: To the right after the turnstiles, approximately 35 meters down the hallway.
- Stroller parking: Available on the right side of the hallway, strollers are not allowed inside the changing rooms.
- Shoe storage: Shoe shelves at the entrance; barefoot zone starts after the shelves.
Facilities:
- 408 lockers in the women’s room and 375 lockers in the men’s room.
- 13 showers.
- Finnish sauna (75°C).
- Toilets and changing booths.
- Sinks, mirrors, and hairdryers.
- Shelves for towels, soap, and swimwear in the shower area.
Health Changing Room:
- Usage: For people with disabilities or special needs.
- Unisex: Allows companions of the opposite sex.
- Request: Those without special needs are asked to use the main changing rooms.
Instructor Changing Room:
- Usage: Primarily for instructors but can be opened for others.
- Facilities:
- Shoe shelf.

Showering Rules:
- Shower facilities: All changing rooms have showers, but you must bring your own soap, shampoo, and conditioner.

- Saturday-Sunday: 09:00-18:00
Note: On Saturday, September 28, and Sunday, September 29, a regional swimming competition will take place at Tromsøbadet. Parts of the sports pool and diving area will be closed.
PULS FITNESS CENTER
- Monday-Friday: 06:15-22:30
- Saturday: 09:00-19:30
- Sunday: 09:00-22:00
Tromsøbadet is generally open year-round, 7 days a week, with only 3 closed days:
- May 17 (Norwegian Constitution Day)
- December 24 (Christmas Eve)
- December 25 (Christmas Day)

For Swimming, Diving, and Waterslides:
Iceberg:
- Our Iceberg is perfect for play and fun! Note: Be careful at the top as it’s a long drop into the water. The iceberg is located in the sports pool.
- Open on Saturdays and Sundays.
50-Meter Pool:
Tromsøbadet has Norway’s northernmost and one of the country’s largest competition pools. It meets national and international standards.
Activities in the 50-meter pool vary, including training, school swimming, and recreational use. There are always some lanes available for the public.
Depth: Adjustable sections from 0-2 meters and a deep end at 5 meters.
Temperature: 27°C.
Opening Hours for the 50-Meter Lane:
- Monday-Friday: 06:15-08:15, 19:30-21:00
- Saturday-Sunday: Open all day.
Diving:
- Various diving boards from 1 to 10 meters, both fixed and springboards.
- Located on the 2nd floor near the slides.
FAMILY POOL
Wave Pool:
- Waves every half hour for fun swimming! Depth: 0-1.8 meters, temperature: 31°C.
- Includes access to the whirlpool.
Waterslides:
- Two slides (30m and 70m). The steep slide is for thrill-seekers, while the longer slide has turns and timers for friendly competitions.
Splash Pool:
- A shallow pool (0.15-0.3 meters, 34°C) with fountains and a small slide for the youngest children.
WELLNESS AREA
Outdoor Pool:
- Swim through a channel to enjoy breathtaking views of the mountains. Open year-round, 34°C.
Saunas:
- Finnish sauna (75°C) with panoramic windows.
- Steam room: 40°C, located between the cold plunge pool and the Finnish sauna.
- Hot Tubs: Several hot tubs (38°C) with mountain views.
Hot Cave:
- Relax in the Hot Cave (38°C), a peaceful retreat with underwater lighting. Note: 16+ age limit.
Cold Plunge Pool:
- Test the water temperature, which follows local sea temperatures, typically between 4-9°C.
OUTDOOR POOL & CHANNEL
- Enjoy the outdoor pool with views of Kvaløya.
- Channel: Swim through the warm water channel to reach the outdoor pool or relax in the wellness area.
HEALTH POOL
For training and rehabilitation, the Health Pool is heated to 34°C and is ideal for recovery after injuries. It’s also used for classes and swimming lessons.
